Poopy has 46 species and 79 recipes. This page lists every recipe in the game, grouped the same way the in-game Recipes tab groups them. If you would rather discover things yourself, stop reading now — the game hides undiscovered recipes on purpose.
How breeding actually works
One poop lives in your pen. You put feed in the slots below it and wait. When the timer ends, it poops, and what comes out depends on what went in. The parent does not disappear — it stays in the pen and can be fed again immediately, so a good parent is worth keeping.
Every recipe has a listed chance. If the roll fails you do not get nothing:
- Failure still pays. A failed guaranteed recipe (groups 3 and 4) hands you a species one grade below the target instead. Materials are never wasted outright.
- The odds climb. Each consecutive failure on the same guaranteed recipe adds +5 percentage points to the next attempt. A 70% recipe becomes 75%, then 80%, and so on. Nobody is meant to sit at 70% forever.
- Digestion scales with grade. Higher-grade parents take longer. You can spend coins to skip, or just leave the tab and come back — it is an idle game.
Turning a poop into feed — the step everyone misses
16 of the 79 recipes need a poop as an ingredient. Collected poops are not feed by default. Open the Poopdex, tap the species you want to use, and press Make feed. Only then does it show up in the feed grid.
If your recipes seem impossible, this is almost certainly why. It is the single most common thing new players miss, and honestly the interface deserves the blame more than the player does.

2. Parent + two feeds

3. Certain A — one poop + one ordinary feed
One collected poop used as feed, plus one ordinary feed. This is where most players get stuck, because turning a poop into feed is a separate step buried in the Poopdex.

|---|---|---|---|
| Frog Poop | Frog Poop (as feed) + Bug | Lizard Poop Common | 100% |

4. Certain B — poop + poop
Two poops as feed. Every Legendary lives here. Expensive, but the payoff is the top of the collection.

Three routes to a Legendary
The game is balanced so that no single path is required. A thirty-day simulation of ordinary play reached the first Legendary on day seven or eight in every run, whichever route the simulated player took.
Route 1 — collect
Fill the Poopdex breadth-first. Cheap recipes in groups 1 and 2 give you the raw material for group 3 and 4 recipes later. Slowest to start, most reliable to finish.
Route 2 — money
Sell duplicates aggressively (the Poopdex has a one-tap Sell dupes button that protects crafting materials), then buy the feed you are short of. Higher-tier feeds unlock better group-2 recipes.
Route 3 — luck
Push one guaranteed recipe repeatedly and let the +5%p pity carry you. The consolation species you collect on the way are themselves ingredients, so this route rarely stalls completely.
Practical opening: feed your starting poop Grass, sell what you do not need, and unlock the second feed slot as soon as it appears. The second slot is the single biggest jump in the early game — it takes you from 35 reachable recipes to 63.
